Transjakarta Lane Grabber Is Dominated by Motorcycle

On the first day of sterilization at six Transjakarta corridors Monday (6/13) yesterday, as many as 274 vehicles were ticketed with maximal fine. Most vehicles are motorcycles.

Chief of Bin Gakkum Sub-directorate for Jakarta Police (Polda Metro Jaya), AKBP Budiyanto disclosed, from 274 lane grabbers, it is dominated by motorcycle. As for the car, there are only seven, comprising three private cars and four public transports.

"On the first day of sterilization, we discipline 274 offenders who grab on Transjakarta lanes. Majority is motorcycle," he expressed, Tuesday (6/14).

Today, Transjakarta Lanes Guarded by 640 Personnel

Those offenders are directly given maximal fine. That is speeding ticket in blue and fine amounting to Rp 500 thousand that paid via bank. It is in accordance with Law No. 22/2009 on Traffic and Public Transport article 287 with imprisonment sanction for two months or pay fine amounting to Rp 500 thousand.

It is done at six corridors that have been installed with concrete road divider (MCB). They are 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9.
